Contests

A few problems, a fixed window, and everybody solving them at the same time. Your rating moves only when a contest is published, never from practice.

None scheduled yet. When one is, it appears here, and you can register before it opens.

How a contest works

  1. 1

    Register before it opens

Registration closes when the window starts. You can leave at any point; nothing is held against you for not finishing.

  2. 2

    Solve inside the window

A few problems, a fixed time, everybody on the same set. Partial solutions count: each test case you pass is scored.

  3. 3

    Rating moves once

Only a published contest changes your rating. Practice never does, so there is no reason to avoid a hard problem outside one.

Until the first one

Contest problems come from the same bank you practise on, so the preparation is the practice. Working through a topic in order is the thing that makes a timed window feel survivable.
