Terms of use

Last updated 7 October 2026

The rules for using this site, written so they can actually be read. If a term here is unclear, email us and we will fix the wording rather than rely on it.

Using the site

LeetFoundation is for learning computer science and practising for interviews. You need an account to save progress; you can read every problem without one.

You must be 18 or over to create an account. One account per person. Do not share your password, and tell us if you think somebody else has it.

What you may not do

Do not attack the site, the judge, or other users. Specifically: no attempting to escape the code sandbox, no scraping the problem bank, no automated account creation, no deliberately overloading the judge, and nothing that would stop other students using the site.

Do not post anything in discussion that you would not say to the person’s face, and nothing illegal. We remove content and suspend accounts for this, and we keep a record of why so the decision can be reviewed rather than argued about.

The code sandbox runs real programs. It is isolated, but treat it as a public place: do not put a password, a key or anything private into it.

Your work, and ours

The code you write stays yours. We store it to run it, to show you your own history, and for nothing else. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not use it to train anything.

The problems, lessons and editorials are ours. Read them, learn from them, quote them with attribution. Do not republish the bank, in whole or in part, as your own or as a competing product.

When you post something publicly, such as a discussion reply or an interview experience, you are giving us permission to show it on the site. You can ask us to take yours down.

For colleges

Where a college has staff access, that access is limited to students who have linked themselves to that college and who have not turned off the leaderboard. It shows progress, not email addresses and not submitted code.

Access is granted per person and can be revoked. A member of staff who leaves should be removed; tell us and we will remove them the same day.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will try to keep the site up and your work safe. Backups are taken daily and are tested by restoring them.

We do not promise the site is always available, that the judge is always correct, or that practising here gets you a job. It is a free product run on a small server by a small team, and we would rather say that than imply a guarantee we cannot keep.

If we get something materially wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Breaking these rules

We would rather warn you than ban you, and for most things we will. These are the things we act on, and what happens:

WhatWhat we do
Abusive, harassing or illegal contentContent removed and account suspended immediately. No warning.
Attacking the site, the judge or the sandboxAccount terminated immediately, and reported to the authorities where the law requires it.
Scraping or republishing the problem bankAccount terminated. We will pursue this, because it is the thing that would destroy the product.
Automated or bulk account creationAll associated accounts terminated.
Sharing an account, or one person holding severalWarning, then suspension if it continues.
Cheating in a contestResult voided and a contest ban. Repeated, the account goes.
Impersonating staff or another studentAccount terminated.

A suspension can be appealed by emailing [email protected]. We keep a record of why every action was taken, so an appeal is answered with the actual reason rather than an argument about what happened.

Where an account is terminated for one of the immediate reasons above, your solved problems and progress go with it, and we are not obliged to restore them.

If something goes wrong

This is a free service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it, including a missed opportunity, a wrong verdict from the judge, downtime, or data lost to a fault. Nothing here limits liability we are not permitted to limit, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

If you cause us loss by breaking the rules above, for example by attacking the service or republishing the bank, you are responsible for that loss, including what it costs us to deal with it.

We may change these terms. When a change is material you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing, and the version you accepted and when is recorded against your account.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will erase it within 30 days.

We can suspend an account that is breaking the rules above. Where it is not an emergency, we will say what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it first.

The rest

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If part of this is unenforceable, the rest still stands.

What we do with your data is on the privacy page.
